Hi! I’m Jessica (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and I’m so glad you’re here. With over four years of experience in addictions and mental health counselling, it would be my honour to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey toward healing and personal growth.

Over the years, I’ve had the honour of working with people from all walks of life, supporting them through challenges like mental health struggles, trauma, substance use, problem gambling, technology overuse, and compulsive sexual behaviours. I believe one of the most important parts of this work is meeting you exactly where you are in your therapeutic journey—whether you’re just starting out or have been on this path for a while.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, client-centered, and integrative, which means I adapt my methods to suit your individual needs. I draw from a range of evidence-based practices, like Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we’ll work on whatever matters most to you—whether it’s building coping strategies, deepening self-awareness, processing emotions, or fostering personal growth.

At the heart of therapy is the relationship we build, and I believe that connection is key to creating real change. My goal is to offer you a space that feels warm, safe, and open for you to express all your emotions. I’m known for bringing both the tissues and the laughs to our sessions because I believe that a little lightness can go a long way in the healing process. It takes courage to be vulnerable and open up about the most intimate parts of our lives with a psychotherapist. My goal is to create a judgement-free environment to foster this courage and support you in your journey of healing and growth. I strive to reduce stigma against mental illness and addictions in South Asian and Muslim populations. I am extremely passionate about reducing intergenerational transmission of unhelpful behaviors to build more resilient communities.

I have been working as a mental health and addictions clinician for the past five years and have supported clients through various challenges they have experienced in their life. I I meet clients where they are at in terms of their goals and readiness for change. Some addictions I specialize in treating include substance use issues, problem gambling, hyper sexuality, video gaming addiction and technology overuse.

I use an integrated approach to providing psychotherapy that is rooted in a client-centered, socially just and culturally sensitive approach. Some of the evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Hi there!

My name is Seba, and I’m currently a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology candidate. I know that reaching out for support can sometimes feel daunting, especially if you’re unsure what to expect. My goal is to provide a warm, accepting space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. Coming from a collectivist culture, I understand how important family, community, and shared values can be and the challenges that come with that. Therefore, I strive to offer support that not only respects, but also cherishes these connections. I aim to provide culturally-sensitive care that honors each person’s unique identity and experience.

Before stepping into counselling, I worked in engineering, so I understand the pressures of demanding roles and the importance of balancing personal and professional life. Now, I focus on supporting individuals and couples facing challenges related to stress, anxiety, relationship dynamics, and self-growth. I integrate psychodynamic and narrative approached, along with mindfulness practices, to tailor our work together in ways that resonate with you.
